The live sports offer for the holidays on DAZN is something special – from El Clásico to Boxing Day and the Darts World Championships.
DAZN, the first live-sport streaming provider worldwide, would like to wish its fans #merrymatchdays once again this year for very good reason: DAZN will be showing more live sport over Christmas than ever before. Although the German football league will be taking a break, Boxing Day will have the legendary Premier League matches, Spain will attract viewers with El Clásico, the NFL and NBA will be celebrating in the US with their spectacular games, and, last but not least, the World Darts Championship is becoming an ever more important live event in Germany.
The advertising campaign for the #merrymatchdays is showing on TV, cinema, display ads on YouTube, Facebook and now on Tinder, too. ‘Our campaign gives us an authentic insight into the lives of top sportspeople around the world: they sacrifice their own Christmas in order to celebrate their sport with their fans. DAZN brings it all together under one roof. The message will be shown on many different channels,’ explains Marco Obermann, unit lead creative at Kolle Rebbe, the agency responsible for the whole campaign.
As an example, Facebook is showing sportspeople like Dirk Nowitzki and Christian Fuchs apologising sweetly to their mothers for missing Christmas because they will be on the field. And Tinder will be explaining to the digitally oriented target group that the best matches are to be found on DAZN – such as El Clásico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
‘The amount of live sport shown on DAZN over Christmas is again unrivalled. “Silent Night” is a thing of the past. The #merrymatchdays are becoming the new tradition,’ smiles Benjamin Reininger, marketing director at DAZN.
