DAZN now also broadcasts the Bundesliga and Tennis Grand Slams.
DAZN will also show Bundesliga matches live for the first time in the new season. The live sports broadcaster has taken over the corresponding package from Eurosport and will broadcast a total of 45 Bundesliga matches per season over the next two years, including relegation and Supercup. DAZN and Eurosport also agreed on a partnership that includes the integration of the TV channels Eurosport 1 HD and Eurosport 2 HD on the platform. This means that DAZN will be able to broadcast the Olympic Games, all tennis Grand Slams except Wimbledon and the Tour de France, among others. With over 8,000 live events per year, DAZN is growing to become the largest live sports broadcaster in Germany and Austria.
This unique range of products is also the core message of the recently launched campaigns for the 2019 season kick-off: “Nobody shows more live sports.” The cross-media appearance was again developed by the lead agency Kolle Rebbe.
Marco Obermann, Unit Lead Creation at Kolle Rebbe, on the creative implementation of the campaign: “Just like DAZN, real athletes want to achieve more and more. Even when they are pushed to their pain threshold. It is this ‘hunger for more’ that fascinates sports fans, which they want to feel and which we are therefore emphasizing in our campaign.”
DAZN expresses this attitude – embodied by Serge Gnabry of FC Bayern Munich – in a visually raw and unfiltered way. The campaign was realized together with BWGTBLD and the Argentinean directing collective Pantera. The independent material was shot on 16mm film, giving the films their authentic and raw look.
In addition to a commercial, which is shown in various formats on the web and on TV, the campaign is also featured in display ads, print and OOH media, and the social media channels of DAZN.
