A dialogue at eye level betweenanimal and human being
Empathy comes from personal conversations. So what if we could talk to an animal? In a social experiment, we combined virtual reality with live acting and made the first one-to-one conversation between animal and human possible.
Behind the scenes, a PETA activist controlled the virtual rabbit live through face and body tracking technology. His facial expressions, voice and movements were transmitted to the rabbit in real time.
From the re:publica to the Frankfurt Book Fair: The VR dialogues with the Rabbit lasted an average of 12 minutes. In addition, more than 3 million users saw the documentation of the experiment online.
PETA is committed to animal rights. New technologies and formats generate the necessary attention in a generation that can no longer be achieved via traditional media.
